The firm behind GLWS^®

Eek & Sense is a specialised, independent firm of Australian business psychologists, pioneering new approaches to leadership, culture, performance and wellbeing for today’s complex challenges. We’re the team behind the GLWS Wellbeing Framework, the GLWS assessment and reporting system and leader wellbeing research.

Why we exist

Our journey was driven by a profound sense of care and concern for the many leaders who were being needlessly harmed by the very roles they’d worked so hard to reach; worn down by chronic pressure and by burnout risks that were, for the most part, avoidable. And we could see the ripple effects spreading outward, into their teams, their organisations, and their families.

So in 2015, a group of experienced organisational psychologists set out to do something about it – to make leadership wellbeing measurable, and to make protecting it a priority rather than an afterthought.

What we built

The result was the GLWS Wellbeing Framework and its assessment and reporting systems. Developed painstakingly, grounded in science and refined over more than a decade of research and practice.

Today the GLWS is independently validated, has been completed by more than 10,000 leaders, and trusted by a global network of over 500 accredited practitioners and organisations that take leader wellbeing seriously.

What guides us

Together these symbols for psychology, balance, change, systems thinking, equality and methodological rigour, reflect our commitment to understanding people, embracing complexity and creating the conditions necessary for sustainable wellbeing and performance.

Where we are now

We continue to invest in research, innovation and ongoing product development, working through alliances with academic, industry and strategic partners whose expertise complements our own. All of it is anchored in one belief: that work needn’t come at the cost of wellbeing, and that success and a healthy life aren’t a trade-off.
